To the Florida State Atty General, from the daughter of the police chief who arrested Tommy: Dear sir, I am the daughter of now deceased Chief Bobby Thompson, formerly with the Oakland Police Department at the time of the Christmas Eve murders at the Zeigler furniture store. My father was first on the scene to a horrible mass murder of a wonderful family. There needs to be justice for this crime and for the victims family members. My father played a major role in the prosecution and conviction of Tommy Zeigler for these murders. I loved my father very much but I feel that he passed away taking a horrible secret with him. His secret was aiding in the conviction of an innocent man that is now on death row. Please sir, I beg you to reconsider this case. Please grant a new trial sir. Allow the DNA evidence to be heard, allow the buried Police Report of my father to be admitted into evidence, allow an impartial judge to hear this case.
